Pickit and Packit now offer same-day delivery service for our business to business customers, if you place a wholesale order before midday your clients will receive it the same day. Our new Mercedes Sprinter is all signed up and ready to go with our friendly delivery driver John.
2021 has been a very interesting year for Pickit and Packit…
2021 so far has been a very interesting year for Pickit and Packit, we have moved the warehouse to a very modern facility. We still have our cleanroom for contract packing and fulfilment customers who wish to use the facilities, but now we have not only warehouse space but office space which is a great clean environment for picking and packing.
We have many new Amazon Prime customers who are using our facilities and have asked us if we would open on Saturday’s, which we have agreed to do, so we are now open 6 days a week with our couriers also collecting 6 days a week. This is open to all customers, not just Amazon and Amazon Prime customers.
A Successful New Fulfilment Client Joins Pickit And Packit
Fleximas is a successful family company supplying Netting and Textiles to the Horticultural and Landscaping Industries.
Fleximas source their products from all over the world and supply both home and export markets.
Our experience and versatility were considered essential to fulfil the diverse needs of this fast growing client. With containers arriving daily, our operational staff had to quickly become familiar with Fleximas products as they joined us at the start of their busy season. They have offices here in Burton on Trent and so their directors were able to visit us several times to see the quality of our operation. It has worked out very successfully and we look forward to a long and mutually successful relationship.
4 months into the contract:
One of our recently joined fulfilment clients sent us this message as I returned from holiday.
“ I thought I’d drop you a line to say thank you to Loretta and the team for being so helpful and supportive in your absence.
We can be a bit demanding at times, especially at month end, but everyone has pulled out the stops to make sure that all the orders have been despatched to our customers as quickly as possible.
We also really appreciate the level of care that is being taken when processing, picking and packing our orders. Since transferring our warehouse to you, the level of complaints from our customers has dropped considerably, which is fantastic, and we are very happy with the way things are progressing.

A Look Back at 2016
Contract Packing Services
2016 – Another successful year for Pickit and Packit. December saw the completion of 1.25 million gifts for one of our blue chip customers. Using our well established QC techniques meant the complete absence of rejects, much to our clients’ satisfaction.
The seasonal drop in business hasn’t happened this year, because more local clients are using our facilities. We continue to produce bespoke packs of beers and ciders for major retailers using our case wrapping facilities to good effect. Clients from the DIY industry, the Craft industry and Household Products suppliers are booming and are calling on us to help them fulfil their customers’ varying demands.
Fulfilment Services
A significant number of new clients have joined us during the last few months. Companies supplying Pet Accessories , Nail Care products, Animal Feeds, Electronics and Horticultural Supplies have recently joined our client portfolio. Our advanced IT offering with hand held picking selection give complete order fulfilment reliability – much appreciated by our clients.
Overall we go into 2017 confidently predicting steady growth. There are many years of experience within our management team who are all committed to complete client satisfaction.
Another New Member of Staff
We are pleased to welcome Biscuit our latest member of our warehouse and fulfilment team.
She has been with us for 2 weeks and has been a lady of leisure at home but wanted to work as part of a team and when she found out that a customer of ours is Pooch n Mutt she was more than willing to come and help with the dog food company.
She is staying on this contract for the foreseeable future and does her best not to sample any of the products but the fresh breath treats are irresistible.
It has not taken her long to fit in with the rest of the team and we would like to thank her for taking the position of Pooch N Mutts warehouse operative within Pickit and Packit.
Biscuit made the comment that she didn’t think she would ever find a warehouse position that was so well suited to her until she came to Pickit and Packit and she has set her sights very high on directorship – watch this space.
Contract Packing and E-commerce Fulfilment
We have had a fantastic month for contract packing and e-commerce fulfilment with numerous new customers coming on board.
We start next week shrink wrapping 100,000 cards into packs of 5, making up picnic hampers with healthy snacks and collating point of sale material to be distributed to a well known bakery chain. This will keep contract packing busy and we are not too far away from our large cosmetic customer delivering the first stock for the Christmas period.
We have a busy time setting up new on-line retailers for our ecommerce fulfilment from top label designer clothes to Lighting specialist and internet/aerial supplier who sell all over the world to caravan and boat owners.
It takes time to make sure customers are settled in properly, we give full training on our Linnworks order management system, we have then to get familiar with each customers products and setting up an ideal location within the warehouse. The customers are then free to concentrate on the selling aspect while we are on hand for all of the operational side.
All of our new customers have been at the stage where they have outgrown their garage operation and were at the stage where they needed extra help, but instead of the extra costs of getting larger premises and staff issues they made the right decision to out-source to Pickit and Packit.
New member of the team
We are pleased to appoint our latest member to the team – Loretta has joined us as our new customer services manager. She offers a wealth of experience in this field. Loretta has worked in the service industry for many years in the rail network sector. She lives in Derby with her husband and 2 boys. This is part of the service we offer to have somebody on hand to help with any customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
